Career Interests Test
Find out which fields of work attract you most: nature, technology, people, data or art.
About the test
This test helps you assess your professional interests and inclinations, that is, which types of activity may appeal to you most. The result shows which professional directions you lean toward: nature, working with people, technology, working with data or art.
It is built on simple choices between pairs of occupations, from caring for animals versus servicing machines to treating patients versus writing programs, so it reflects what genuinely interests you rather than what seems prestigious.
Methodology
The test is based on E. Klimov’s Differential Diagnostic Questionnaire (DDQ), a method used in career guidance to identify preferred areas of professional interest.
Each pair of occupations represents two of the five directions, and the one you choose gets the point, so the directions are compared with one another rather than judged separately. The app slightly modernises some wording and the presentation of results without changing the essential elements of the method or the scoring logic.
In each item you imagine that only two professions exist and choose the one you would prefer.
Results
After completing the test you receive a conclusion about which directions attract you most, one, several or none in particular, and all five directions, nature, technology, people, data and art, ranked from the strongest to the weakest interest, each with a description of the kinds of work that may or may not suit you.
The result helps you narrow down where to look and what to try first, and can be supplemented with personalized AI analysis in the Who Am I? app.
