Conflict Proneness Test
Find out how easily you get drawn into conflicts and how they show up in your emotions, thoughts, behaviour and self-control.
About the test
This test helps you assess your overall tendency toward conflict and understand how conflicts are reflected in your emotions, thoughts and behaviour. It also shows how easily you keep self-control in tense situations.
It looks at real moments of disagreement, from how you react to criticism, a lost argument or a dismissive attitude to whether you can turn a heated exchange into a joke or hold back a harsh word.
Methodology
The test is based on the DIDIKO method (Differential Diagnosis of Propensity to Conflict), developed by T. Yu. Ulianova and O. P. Sannikova to assess a person’s tendency toward conflict.
It assesses four components of conflict proneness, emotional, cognitive, behavioural and lack of self-control, each on its own scale, and combines them into an overall level. The app slightly modernises the wording, shuffles the statements and reverses the self-control scale so that a higher score always means a stronger conflict tendency.
You read each statement and choose how well it describes you, from definitely yes to definitely no, based on how you usually react in real conflict situations.
Results
After completing the test you receive an overall level of conflict proneness, from low to high, and four scales: emotional, cognitive and behavioural conflict proneness and lack of self-control, each with a description of how it shows up in disagreements.
The result helps you see where confrontation is truly needed and where a dispute can be resolved more simply, and can be supplemented with personalized AI analysis in the Who Am I? app.
