Perfectionism Test
Find out how strongly perfectionism is expressed in you and whether it shows up mainly as demands on yourself, demands on others, or pressure from other people's expectations.
About the test
Perfectionism is a tendency to set very high standards for yourself or other people and to expect flawlessness in the areas of life that matter to you. This test helps you see how strongly it is expressed in you overall.
It also separates three sides of perfectionism: the demands you place on yourself, the demands you place on other people, and the pressure you feel from what others expect of you.
Methodology
The test is based on the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (MPS), developed by Canadian psychologists P. Hewitt and G. Flett to assess the level of perfectionism and the relationship between its main components.
The method looks at perfectionism from three directions at once: standards directed at yourself, standards directed at others, and the perceived expectations of other people. Each is measured on its own scale, and together they form the overall level. The app keeps the statements, structure and scoring unchanged, with only minor polishing of some wording.
You read each statement and choose how much you agree with it, based on how you usually think, feel or behave.
Results
After completing the test you receive an overall level of perfectionism, from low to elevated, along with three subscales: demands on yourself, demands on others and meeting expectations, each with a short description of how it tends to show up.
The result helps you see whether high standards mainly motivate you or also create pressure and self-criticism, and can be supplemented with personalized AI analysis in the Who Am I? app.
